Nina’s approach to psychotherapy does not prescribe to a single modality, but instead draws from suitable theoretical approaches and evidence-based interventions tailored to fit each individual’s presenting challenges. Collaboration, warmth, empathy and a shared sense of meaning is at the core of Nina’s psychotherapeutic style, and she has firm foundational underpinnings rooted in psychodynamic theory. However, she has been trained in a variety of therapies such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing ), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Play therapy.

Nina has developed a special interest in treating children with behavioural challenges, personality disorders, trauma and maternal mental health. Psychological assessment is also at the core of her applied clinical interests founded in her extended training in psychological assessment.
